Happy Halloween continued!

I forgot to mention that I also made a fall pin. Jaime, hint to you, we can make these for our craft shows!!!! I love working with dominos and seeing what can be created on them! They are really small, so you really have to work with your imagination! But, the finished product is always interesting!

This is what I put in Jack's teacher's treat box. Hope she likes it!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Halloween!

I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Halloween! The kids are really looking forward to Trick or Treat night! Kevin and I are even dressing up! Can't wait to see those pictures!

Here's one picture of some Halloween cards I made. I was ahead of myself and had them done by the beginning of September. Here it is, the end of October, and I haven't started my Christmas cards!

And here's a couple pictures of a treat for Jack's teacher for Halloween. Since this is all new to me, I don't know if I need to make a treat or gift for every holiday or just Christmas and the end of the year?! Oh well, it's done and cute and I enjoyed making it! Let me just say Thank God for Embossing Powder and Craft ink!!!!!! I finally got it right the third time around! And as the Queen of Cliche's, "The third try's a charm!"
Happy Halloween!

The Mills Michaels

Well, yesterday, I quit at the Butler Michaels. It's like a HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders! I no longer have to drive all the way up there for NO reason! Now I can focus on ONE Michael's! I really hope to get a lot of people to come to my classes! I hope that I can create some awesome projects! What a task! I'm really looking forward to it! I just have a feeling that I'll be better off at the Mills. I have more creative freedom, and since it's a new store, I'll be able to daw people in. Come back often to look at my blog, because all these new projects will be on here! Hope they'll be appetizing enough to want to make on your own!

Wish me LOTS of luck!!!!

Different techniques

Here are a couple pictures of cards that I have made for birthdays. Boy are there a lot of birthdays in October! I'm trying to keep up! I have one more to make, and then I should be ok.
The first picture is one that I stole the idea from Splitcoaststampers and modified it. I made it for my Grandmother who turned 88!!!! The technique on this card is paper piercing aroun the white paper.

The second picture is my cousin's card. He's turning 12, but I just love the Loads of Love stamp set! And the technique in this one is kool-aid mixed clear embossing powder which makes: scratch and sniff!!!! Thanks to Heather Casey for giving me that idea!

The third card I made is for my other cousin's birthday who is turning 14. The only stamping I did was the eraser on the end of a pencil to do the polka dots. I know it has ribbon, I'm just hoping that it's "manly" enough for a 14 year old! I love using chipboard. I made the letters myself, because I don't have letter stencils that large. That was fun, let me tell you.....

JOY!

Yesterday I finished my frame for Michael's in Butler. See picture.... And I have fabulous news! I was just hired at the Michael's at the Mills! So now my friends can come to all my classes!!!! Hopefully my crafts will be well received at this new Michael's. I will be doing everything that I'm doing at the Butler Michael's. Scrapbooking, stamping, cards, paper crafting, you name it, and I can teach it! I'm looking for some really cool ideas, so once I make them and get them approved, I will post my classes on here.

I love doing these frames! It's a scrapbook page on a frame! I found the picture on the Internet, GOD it's hard to find a 5x7 picture on the net! Then I "frosted" the bottom of the glass with White Craft Ink (pigment ink). The tag at the top was embossed with clear embossing powder mixed with cinnamon! Mmmmmmm! I embossed the letters with versamark and silver embossing powder. And I made the tag and crimped it closed. They sell this tool at Michael's. I LOVE IT! I had to draw the holly and berries because I took the holly stamp back to Michael's. Duh! And the paper is from a slab of Christmas paper. I embossed some swirls in the corner before I put the holly and berries on. I LOVE swirls! This frame is very easy! Once I got the idea, it didn't take long to complete. Oh, and Craft Spray adhesive is my new best friend!!!!!! Note: Spray your stuff OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!

I will be teaching this frame class on Nov. 29th from 6:30-8:30 at the Mills Michael's if anyone is interested!

So, off to make some cards!

Baby, it's cold outside!

To answer the comments, the red thing was to resemble a sled. I didn't want to add anything else to it so it would take away from the rest of the page. I just doodled a design on the sled, there aren't any words. At the bottom, it says Jackson, 2 yrs. Playing in the snow with Daddy. Jan. '07. That's it. I'm glad you guys like it! Now I can work on my Christmas stuff!

I'm pretty happy with the weather! I don't like cold at all! It is an oxymoron (one of my favorite words) that I'm working on snow pages when it's breaking the heat record for this late in the year!

Oh well! I have to be ahead of the game, so I must continue my Christmas projects! Hopefully I'll be able to get some projects done for Thursday..... ;)

Off to Michael's to grab some ribbon and the full set of chipboard alphabets!

Happy stamping!

Last night I finished my scrapbook page for Michael's. I started out thinking Christmas, because that's what I'm "supposed" to be teaching next month. But, as I continued working, it turned out to be a January page! Oh well! I don't know if I'm happy about it. Please give me your feedback. And of course, it's different seeing it in person. But let me know if you think this page is "teachable". The techniques I am showcasing here are: tearing, using vellum, wet embossing, and 3-D. I took one of the Christmas designer paper slabs to work with. I LOVE those slabs! There are so many different kinds of papers to choose from! I plan on making some cards with all this paper, so stay tuned!

Until then!

Today is Sunday, and it's already evening! The weekends fly by SO quickly! I haven't been too crafty this weekend. We rearranged my crafting room, so now there's more room for more stamps! And more paper! And more projects! My friend and I have started to make things to sell at a craft show. Probably not until next year. This way we'll be MORE than ready to sell stuff! Attached are 2 pictures of bags that I made last week.

Off to eat dinner and decorate some clipboards!

Halloween Wreath

Ok, below is a picture of a Halloween wreath my friends and I made this past weekend. I took the pictures at 8:00am on Saturday morning. The fog was a PERFECT backdrop for these SPOOKY pictures!!! We had so much fun making this wreath!!!! Can't wait to do one for Christmas!

Brand New Blogger!

Hi! Today is Oct. 5th, 2007. I just created this blog, and I have NO idea what I'm doing!!!! I wanted to create a blog so that my friends can see my latest craft creations instead of me emailing all my pictures and hogging up their inbox space!

Let's get crafting!
