Inkadinkado stamps!

Hello all! This is my first card for the ABC Toys and Crafts store! I have used two new Inkadinkado stamps: Asian Circle Flower Frame and Asian Lotus Flower. I also used Prima flowers, brown thread, brown brads, Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds inside the circle frame, a little sponging, and Certainly Celery c/s and ribbon and Close to Cocoa c/s.

The Asian Circle Flower Frame is very cool! I have a bunch of ideas for this stamp, as well as the Asian Lotus Flower. Lots of versatility w/ these stamps! Go check them out!!!!

Happy Stamping!!!

Thanks friends!

Hello! A few friends of mine that I met online have sent me (well, Elizabeth) gorgeous gifts, and I wanted to make them thank you cards. I have a few more to make, but here are a few! I decided to use the Bella Rose D.P., Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette and Ridinghood Red c.s. As well as Kiwi Kiss ribbon and Pink Pirouette ribbon. I'm surely going to miss these colors!!!! I'm buying more cardstock because these colors are just so awesome! (In my opinion, anyway!)

For this first card, I used Bella Rose d.p., pink piroutte and ridinghood red for the layers. I used my new Martha branch punch. The flower is actually a cut out from another piece of D.P. I don't have that stamp set, so I had to improvise. I forgot about my lace corners, and I thought that it would make a nice embellishment on here. To soften it up. The sentiment is SU! It's one of my favorites!

This second card uses Pink Piroutte and Choc. Chip c/s along w/ Bella Rose d.p. Pink Piroutte ribbon w/ Choc. Chip ribbon on top. The flower is from Sabrina (Making Memories) found at Michael's. Stamp is from Define Your Life (SU!)

I LOVE this card! I used Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White c/s. Ribbon is Kiwi Kiss double sided satin ribbon. I used Labels 1 nesties. The stamp is from Garden Silhouettes (hostess set from a few years ago - SU!). I took a blender pen and colored the stamp w/ Kiwi Kiss and Ridinghood Red ink pads. I LOVE how this turned out! So, if you don't have the markers, you can use the ink pads!

This last card was very simple to make. The stamp is from Garden Silhouettes. I used Pink Pirouette c/s, ribbon and ink.

Happy Stamping!!!

Father's Day continued...

Hello! This is the card I made for my grandfather! I forgot to post it w/ the others I made last week. I used Tim Holtz stamp set "The Journey" for the truck. The key is from a hardware pack from Tim. The sentiment is SU! I used Choc. Chip and Sky Blue (retired IN color). I created the criss cross embossed lines w/ my Scor-Pal. Ink is Choc. Chip.

Have a great day!

Father's Day

Hello! Well, today is Father's Day! What a great day! The sun is shining, a perfect day to spend time w/ your dad! I wish I could! My dad (well, my parents) are at a graduation party today! And then he's going on business for the next 3 or 4 days! So, I won't be able to give him my gift until later this week! :( Huge bummer. As I think my dad is awesome! I made him a card that is quite unique. Then I made a card for my husband from our kids. It's basic, since he doesn't really care about that sort of thing. But, my dad cherishes everything that I've made him. He's my biggest fan! My husband looks at my creations and just says, "very nice" and continues watching the latest sport on tv. (Insert rolling eyes here!) ;)

I recently purchased some Tim Holtz stamps at Michael's, and wanted to try them out for this very masculine holiday! First up is my card for my dad. I had several layouts in my head, but this one won because that car is much bigger than I originally thought!

I used Western Sky (SU!)(retired) d.p., chocolate chip, sage shadow, and very vanilla cs. Hardware from Michael's. Assorted buttons. Script Texture cb folder, and Labels One nestabilities. Happy Father's Day stamp from SU!'s All Year Cheer.

Then lastly, I have the card I made for my husband this morning. He was working this morning, so it's not like I was making in front of him! LOL! Anyway, the clock is actually from Kelly Panacci's Time Flies (found at Michael's). The "hands" on the clock are actually game spinners from the Tim Holtz line. I versamarked the clock and did the whole clear e.p. over and over again over the clock and then stuck it in the freezer for about a half an hour. Then when I took it out, I cracked it and it made those lines. The paper is from Prestwick (SU!)(retired), Night of Navy, and Basic Gray. I added little dew drops in the corners just to add some detail. The ribbon is basic gray taffeta.

And that's all folks!
I hope you all have a wonderful day w/ your fathers and husbands!

June Swaps!

Hello! Last night and tonight I worked on my June Swaps! This time the only requirement I had for everyone was to find something inspirational and base their cards on that. I was reading the newest edition of PaperCrafts Magazine, the Reduse, Reuse and Recycle issue, and I found a tag made by Maren Benedict that I based my cards on. I had made a birthday card for my dad using the same idea, the playing card, so, I decided to find some more and use that as my inspirational piece. I did have a bedspread set in like a sage shadow and choc. chip, but I already did soft sky and choc. chip for our first swap, so I didn't want to do the same thing again. Plus, Maren had an excellent concept of the playing card, so I was excited to utilize this idea again!

For all 6 of these cards, I used Raspberry Tart (SU!) designer paper, Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Pink Pirouette ribbon, Pink Pirouette, Cameo Coral, Rose Red and Old Olive c/s (I am running low on Kiwi Kiss c/s), and Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, and Rose Red ink. Assorted buttons, SU! glitter, rhinestone and cloth brads, hardware, playing cards, All Holidays stamp set (SU!), Whole Family stamp set (Kitchen Sink Stamps), chipboard letters, and a little paper piercing. I also added pink beads, acetate cover and mounting tape and another piece of d.p. to make a shaker card out of the card w/ the glittery "a"!

Enjoy!

Happy Stamping!!!

Vintage Paper Therapy sketch challenge

Hello!!! Today I decided to participate in this week's Paper Therapy sketch challenge! I mixed it up a little bit, though! Earlier today I went to Michael's and purchased some Tim Holtz stamps, paper, and metal embellishments. I came home and was itching to get to my stamp room to create something!!!! I have the hunger, so I'm ready to stamp again! Taking a week off was good for my creative mojo! LOL!

Anyway, the twist for this week's challenge was to use the color purple somewhere on your card. I used Elegant Eggplant as the back panel of my card.

Well, off to hold the baby!

Happy Stamping!!!

Ally Scraps scrapbook challenge 6.9.09

Hello! I am a frequent visitor to the website Ally Scraps. You can go there too by going to www.allyscraps.com. I became familiar with this website after they posted a design team call earlier this year on Splitcoaststampers. I decided to join their little community in the hopes that I would get some scrapbook pages done! While it's SUPER slow in getting myself motivated, I have completed several pages just by doing the different challenges posted in their forum. Everyone is so friendly and nice over there! You should stop by! You can shop there too!
So, this page was done today based on one of the latest challenges on Ally Scraps. We were to use 3 different types of designer paper, punches galore, decorative scissors, and we had to place something at the top of the page. After looking through some pictures, I chose these two of my daughter and my husband. I like to put more than 2 pictures, but I wanted to keep it simple. I'm trying to get into that style that everyone else has in regards to decorating your page w/ cool hip stuff. Well, I don't have those types of embellishments, so I really need to improvise!!!
This is the first time I am trying a different way to scrapbook. No more than 2 pictures and add some cool details! What do you think? Have I succeeded?
Happy Scrapping Day!
