Happy Birthday Dad!

Today, ok it's 1:20am, YESTERDAY, was my dad's birthday!  He's now 63.  I can't believe that!  When I was younger, 63 meant you were old!  And if you know my dad, he's not old by any means!  He's got more energy than I do!  And I'm a busy mom of 3!
I'm so lucky to have my dad for a dad.  I have had a wonderful childhood, and just to have my dad around has been such a tremendous thing!  When I got married, I danced w/ him to Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler, because I feel like he's the wind that keeps my wings up.  He's always giving advice, always lending a helping hand, always around when you need him.  He's just awesome!  And anyone who has been in contact with him will tell you how awesome he is!  When he talks to you, he gives you his full attention and makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world!  It's no wonder my kids LOVE their PaPa!  Especially my youngest daughter!  He is her hero!  He's mine as well!
And not to discount my mother!  She is just as awesome as my dad, and together, they are just fabulous parents and I am so lucky to have them in my life.  Really.  I'm not sucking up or bragging.  I'm just so thankful for my parents!

Happy Birthday Dad!  I love you always!

To the Graduate

I was invited to a high school graduation party today, and in 10 minutes, I created this card.  Now, I have had this party on my calendar for about a month.  But, I seriously have not had time to make a card until today.  And of course, my husband decides to have some of our friends over for a little party tonight as well.  So, I have to clean my house from top to bottom, make a card, go to the grad party real quick, then come back and party!  I had the basic idea from Lisa Somerville's card HERE that she spent 10 hours on!  It's absolutely gorgeous!  I wish I had more time to make mine look nicer, but 1. I literally had 10 minutes; 2. I still needed to get ready to go out the door; 3.  It was for a teenage boy.  So, really, I didn't need to spend a lot of time on this!

Ballet and Bling

Do they really go together?  Ballet and bling?  Well, I think they do!  This week at CAS-ual Fridays, the challenge was to use bling!  We were invited to our cousin's dance recital this weekend, and I wanted to make her a card congratulating her on a job well done!  After I completed it, I thought this would be perfect for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge!
