Birthday Whimsy Sketch Challenge

Today's card is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. I found this challenge to be quite difficult! The sizing for one is hard because you can't use big stamps! And after going through several themes, I found that a lot of my stamps are big! Or long! But, I came through and found something that would work!

When I chose the stamp sets Birthday Whimsy and Big Bold Birthday, I did not think I wanted bubblegum type paper. But when I went over to my paper bag, there it was, big and bold and perfect!!! So, I took out the Barbie B-day Polka Dots by Sandy Lion Sticker Designs, and cut it to fit my card. After wasting some paper, I finally got the size I needed for my squares. They measure 2"x 2" for the first layer. The second layer is like 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". It's just a little bit bigger. I used Lovely Lilac for the cake and balloon. I used Pink Passion for the candles and present. The flames on the candles are Summer Sun. The first layer of squares is So Saffron, and the second layer is Regal Rose. I sponged Lovely Lilac around the Saffron because I think it finishes the edges. I'm a sucker for sponging edges! Haven't you known that by now!

Thanks for looking!
Have a whimsically wonderful day!
Happy Stamping!!!
