Get Well card - KSS style!

This is my very first sewing experience.  Now, it's not the best work.  Please don't judge too harshly!  I just got a sewing machine this Christmas, so I'm still brand new at this sewing thing.  I'm sure over time I'll be better.  It's nice to go back though and look at how far you've come.  So, I wanted to post this so that I can go back next January and laugh about how sorry this poor teddy bear is!  LOL!

The teddy bear is from Kitchen Sink Stamps, 3 Step Get Well Teddy.  I came up w/ my own recipe for him, because my SU! inks just weren't cutting it.  So, here is MY recipe:  1. Desert Sand; 2. Toffee stamped off once; 3. Rich Cocoa; and 4. Onyx Black.  I used black thread for my stitching, mainly because it was already in the machine threaded and I didn't want to re-thread!  So, I used black thread for my buttons.  Brown brads are in the center of my brown and cream prima flowers.

This month Kitchen Sink Stamps has a sewing challenge!  You can check it out HERE!

Have a STAMPTASTIC day!

  6. Awwww . . . how cute is this?!! Love that sweet little teddy bear. It's amazing how realistic and detailed these images become with each layer. You rock these stamps, my friend!

You did really well on the sewing. It definitely takes time to get used to the movement of the needle, and how to turn corners, etc. But you've made a really good first start!!
