A Berry Special Clipboard!

My daughter was in the 3 yr. old preschool program this year.  And every day that I took her, every Tuesday and Thursday, she would cry and carry on like I was leaving her forever.  Well, it was all an act because as soon as I was gone, she would stop crying and go and play w/ her friends.  But before I left she would cry - no tears, mind you -  and hook onto me like a leech and never come off!  The teacher had to pry her off of me!  EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY!  Except my birthday!  She actually went in with a cool head and went right to the table after kissing me goodbye!  Shock and awe!  So, anyway, I wanted to make something special for her teacher since she had to put up w/ my daughter's dramatic theatrics every day!  And I don't know her style, as she is always picking up her kids and taking them to this, that and the other thing.  So, I get the feeling that she doesn't have a whole lot of time for herself.  And I know that every teacher has every apple thing known to man kind, so I thought I would do berries instead!

The berries are from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Berries and the peach is from KSS Peaches.  The white c/s w/ blue (Pacific Blue!) and green stripes: stripes are from KSS Plaid Plus.  LOVE that set!!!  Totally a keeper!!  The green paper is from Jenni Bowlin's Core'dinations Cardstock stack.  LOVE that paper!  LOL!

Enjoy your weekend!
Have a STAMPASTIC day!!!

Clocks - are they masculine?

Back again w/ a quick card made for my dad.  We celebrated his birthday this weekend by spending the day at his and my mom's pool!  FINALLY, they listened to their kids and had a pool put in!  I think they love it more than we do!  Hahaha!

Anyway, I always struggle w/ male cards, and when I sat down to make his card, I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go to.  Then, I went through my new vintage paper from Graphic 45 that I found at a local scrapbook store, and found the clock paper.  I found my direction!  The stamped clock and hands were from a set I found at Michael's. The "H" and "B" are from My Favorite Things' Alphadots set.  The "to U" is from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Mix It Up alphabet set.  I also used black and Kraft c/s.  Onyx black ink.  Hardware from Tim Holtz.

Have a STAMPTASTIC day!!!

Preschool Graduation!

Hi there!  I'm sorry I've been MIA for SO long!  It's been quite interesting and busy these last few weeks.  W/ the end of school came lots of events, programs, play dates, and exhaustion!  Thank God summer has arrived!  I need a break!
For graduation for my son's preschool, I was asked by his teacher to make something for each student.  She told me what the morning class was doing, so I took that idea and ran w/ it.  I bought 4x6 frames and used some Kitchen Sink Stamps (apple from School Days and graduation cap from Graduation).  Oh and the ABC123 is also from School Days.  I made a chalk board in the back w/ black paper and stamped the ABC123 w/ Frost ink.  I stamped and cut out all the apples and graduation caps, 18 in total.  The picture and green c/s behind was cut from Labels 13.  Cool shape to work with!

I hope that you are enjoying your Memorial Day and the end of a wonderful school year!  Get ready for summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a STAMPTASTIC day!!!

Seashell Recipe Box

Hi there!  Today I am sharing w/ you a recipe box I made for my husband's co-worker.  She LOVES the beach, so that was the theme I went with!  I used Melanie Muenchinger's new seashell stamp set Gifts From the Sea for all of the seashells on the outside of the box.  On the inside, I used the Kitchen Sink Stamps 3 step Seashells.  I only used the first layer, as I just wanted the shape of the shell.

For the outside, I drew my own palm tree, and created my own net w/ hemp twine.  The water is torn Core'dinations and then diamond stickles spread over the top to signify the foam on the waves!

For the top, I stamped the words Bonnie's and Recipes from KSS Adore Alpha on white paper.  I cut them into two towels and ran them through my zyron and adhered white flocking so it's like fabric.  I drew the umbrella to add some detail to the beach scene.

The card is just a culmination of the recipe box embellishments!

Have a STAMPTASTIC day!!!

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there!  My post is late, so I hope that you all had a wonderful day with your children and families!

I had to make several cards for some of my family for today.  I still have to make a few cards and send them out!  I know, it will be after the fact, but hey, it's the thought that counts, right?  RIGHT?!  Ok, so some of these cards have images that I downloaded from Vintage Image Crafts.  They are having a contest right now for Mother's Day cards, so here are mine!

This is the card I made for my mom.

This is the inside.  I had to finish it!  You actually see the edge of the card on the front.

Here's the card I made for my sister, as she is my son's Godmother. This card was made also for the Card Patterns challenge no. 63.  The card patterns challenge is HERE.

The front.  (Obviously....)

And the inside!

The next card is for my Grandmother.

She liked it!

This card was made for either my brother or my Dad to give to my mom.
I used Fifth Ave. Florals for this!  I just love that set!  It's SO versatile!  Oh, and I covered it w/ micro beads to dress it up a bit.
And here's the inside:

I kept the inside simple.

This is my favorite card that I made!  Another one for either my dad or brother.

I used Artfully Asian on this, and flowers from my friend, Mandy that I put holes in the original flowers to put the stems through.  For the top note die, I trimmed the brown around the white to create a layer behind.  I think it turned out pretty good!  I was impressed, to say the least!  LOL!
And here's the inside:

I threaded brown ribbon in and added another flower for detail.

And that's it!  I'm outta here!
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

Two new recipe boxes!

This past week I have been busy making two recipe boxes.  One for a friend, and one for sale!  Whoo hooo!  Finally, I am FINALLY selling my recipe boxes!

Anyway, the first box is for a friend for her birthday last month.  At the end of the month, it finally dawned on me how to make her box.  She likes to garden, according to her blog posts, so, I went in that direction!

I used My Favorite Things Can You Dig It? and Garden of Joy (shovel) for this.  The letters are from Inkadinkado (I think...).  I drew and cut out my fence, drew the fields in the distance, and made my own clouds.  The sun is a punched circle.

Here's the full view of the front and top of the recipe box.

Here's a close up of the front.  Everything is wallpaper!!!!

Here's the top, far away.  I don't know why this pic wasn't cropped....
The apples are Kitchen Sink Stamps apples, and the letters are from Crafty Secrets Adore Alphabet.

Here's a close up of the Red Apples.

And a close up of the green apples.

These boxes just turned out SO cute!  My husband said that the apple box was the best I've ever made!  Hmm, that's saying something!

Have a STAMPALICIOUS day!!!

Teacher Appreciation Day!

Today was Teacher Appreciation Day at my children's school.  I created two cards today for my son's teachers.  There's the regular teacher and then her helper.  My son has a crazy class and LOTS of boys!  So, they have their work cut out for them!

I'm into apples today because of something that I will post next, so the cards just fit into that theme!

I'm using Kitchen Sink Stamps School Days for the apple and ruler.  The plaid is wallpaper!  The star punches, oval punches, and sentiment all from Stampin' Up!.

Here I'm using the plaid again as a background.

Have a STAMPALICIOUS day!  And if you're a teacher, THANK YOU for ALL that you do!

40th wedding anniversary gift

Today we are attending a 40th wedding anniversary celebration for friends of my parents.  I wanted to make a special gift, and since the only thing I know how to make are cards, well, that's what I made!

Here's the outside, using Fifth Avenue Floral from SU!.

I used 3 different yellows to create the rose.  I used my new SU! border punch, and a swirl punch for the sides of the circle.  I used a scallop circle and regular classic circle nesties.  And the floral branch embossing folder for the white panel.  To finish the look, I put brads in the corners.
Here's a close up shot of the rose:

and here's the inside!
I used a Top Note die and the same swirl punch.

I made 10 cards to complete the gift.

All right, off to do some chores before church.  :(

Have a STAMPILICIOUS DAY!

A blog award!

Today, well, really last week, I received a blog award from my sweet friend Lola and I wanted to post it here!

Thank you Lola!!!!!
