MFT One Click Challenge #1 - Chipboard!

This is the front cover of the chipboard book. This is the MFT House! This whole house uses Bella Rose paper from SU!. I wanted to maintain a theme throughout the book. So, all the "wallpaper" is from Bella Rose. I mainly used Kiwi Kiss, Robinhood Red, and Pink Pirouette throughout. This first page uses copics, Martha Stewart leaf punch, , slot punch, flowers from Build A Bouquet, and the awning is from Meet Me At The Cafe. I made a little mailbox w/ letters inside so that you can tell it's the MFT House! I put acetate on the windows so that you can really see through into the living room!

And here's the living room! Again, Bella Rose paper. I stamped the girl from How Sweet It Is on vellum and then colored it on both sides so that you can see through the window as well as looking at it here. The tv is from Let's Hear It From the Boys.

Now, we enter the MFT kitchen! The girls are from Meet Me At the Cafe. I made the awning into an oven hood. I ran a piece of Basic Gray paper through the cuttlebug to create a backsplash. I drew the cabinets, as well as the cook top and the pot.

And now we travel to the family room for some ice cream! I used Here's the Scoop, the dogs are from Rain or Shine, and the boy in the picture is from Ben Paper Dolls. I wanted to hang something on the wall to make it more livable!

This is one of my favorite pages, or rooms! This girl is from Girls Day In, as well as the nail polish bottles. However, the nail polish bottles were stamped on shrinky dink paper and shrunk to this size. The table is from Window Shopping. I added white flocking to the robe to make it fuzzy.

And now we enter the den. Ooops, someone is cleaning! Better stay out of her way! The maid is from Maid For You. The man in the chair is from Let's Hear It For the Boys. The wreath is from Build A Bouquet. I stamped the outer edges of one of the large circles, and then punched the middle out. I stamped the different flowers and circles and adhered to the wreath. Just a decorative touch!

This is my all time favorite page! This little guy is ready for bed! He's from Cuddle Up Carter. The toy train is also from that set. The animals in the bottom shelf are from It's A Jungle Out There; the dragon, castle, and knights are from Good Knight. They were all stamped onto Shrinky Dink paper and shrunk to look like toys. I drew the shelf to put them in. I also shrunk the cuddle bunnies above. And to make it whimsical, I added silly eyes to his slippers!

Here's a close up of the toys.

And now we're in the back of the the MFT House! This lady is from Can Ya Dig It? The flowers are from Build A Bouquet. I put yellow eyelets in backwards so it looks like they have fuzzy centers. The tree branch is actually a stem from Build A Bouquet w/ lots of leaves from the Martha Stewart punch. I used the slot punch for the roof to make it look like the front.

And this is just what it looks like bound. Not much different!
So, what do you think? Do you like my chipboard house? I tried to use all of my sets. And I really wanted to use my Time For the Bubbly, because it's a bathtub set, but I loaned it out and haven't received it back yet. I still have one more pge that I didn't do anything with, so perhaps when I get it, I can always stamp another page! Well, two if you count back and front!
If you liked these stamps that I used, go to www.mftstamps.com and peruse the different stamps! I only used a quarter of what they have for sale! And Wednesday, June 3rd, they are having another release!!!! There are said to be some really awesome sets coming out! Come and join the chat/release party on Splitcoast under Forums, MFT, and whatever the chat thread is for that night!

Bridal Shower card

Hello! This card was made for a friend of ours who is getting married this summer. She is having her bridal shower at the beginning of June. I, of couse, can't make it, as I'll be having a baby this week! So, I wanted to send this to her before her shower, and before things got too crazy at my house! LOL!

The stamps: The girl is from Girls Day In from My Favorite Things, sentiment from Sincere Salutations (SU!), and the diamond is from Changito Monkey Pirates from Stampendous.

Card Patterns Sketch Challenge!

Hello!!! Today I have made a card for this week's Card Patterns Sketch Challenge. Today is the last day for this particular sketch, if you would like to be voted for Top 5! And then tomorrow they will have a new sketch to work with! I might as well do that one tomorrow and get it out of the way! LOL!

Anyway, today I was inspired by Christina Fischer's chalkboard easel tent card/box/thing where she used Owls and Bluebells by My Favorite Things for her main image. Every time I see that set used, I feel like I need to ink it up! So, out it came today!

I'm not so sure about the color combo, which came from the SU! color wheel, but whatever! I had to find paper that matched my quilled bluebell flowers! By the way, did you notice that the flowers were quilled? What do you think?! And I'm "going green" w/ the stick that I found in my backyard! My son thought I was nuts when I brought that in and told him what I was going to use it for when he asked. Oh, and I cheated on the sketch. There's supposed to be three brads or something at the top left corner, but I haven't paper pierced in a while, so I wanted to do that instead. Just being a rebel!

Trying to go vintage....

Well, I'm trying to go vintage. I want to delve into this genre to see if I like it. I decided to decorate a block, and at the same time I would do my friend Karolyn's sketch for Shirley's 2 Girls weekly sketch challenge. I didn't follow the rules though. It was supposed to be monochromatic! Ooops!!!! When I decided to go vintage, I forgot about that little detail! Karolyn, I hope this still qualifies! Oh, and I put more brads on than the sketch called for. But, oh well! It's done! What do you think? Should I continue or give up the vintage thing?

My Snuggle Bunny!

Well, the MFT Idol has been crowned! Congratulations to Shannon Bracken (Mrs. Mac)!!!! She gets to spend $250.00 in MFT bucks! How cool is that?! And then, next Wednesday, June 3rd, they are choosing 2 people who will join the design team for 6 months! I can't wait to find out!!!!

This project above was made for 3 different MFT challenges today! It's a chalkboard easel template that is free in the MFT store! That is the first challenge, using this template. The second challenge is this week's sketch challenge. I changed it up a bit. I hope I still qualify! And the third challenge is this week's WUW challenge, shading! I'm learning to shade as I work w/ my Copics. Today, though I colored the sweet bunnies and moon w/ my brand spankin' new Koh-i-noor pencils! Oh my gosh, these are awesome!!!! They blend so well, it's like spreading butter! WOW! I am blown away by how cool these pencils are! Why did I wait so long to buy them???!!!!

So, anyway, there you have it!

Snuggle with YOUR favorite bunny today!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday! We went out to dinner with him yesterday to celebrate, and this is the card I made. I had literally half an hour to make this card. Luckily, earlier in the day I was waiting for my dr.'s appt. and was perusing the newest PaperCrafts Magazine when I found a tag card by Maren Benedict using a playing card. So, I thought that that would be perfect! She used a 4 and just had 4 U. So, I changed it by using a 2 and making it Happy Birthday 2 U! Get it?!

I'm just so excited about how this turned out, I had to show it off! LOL!

Happy Stamping!!!

The other day I noticed how my roses have just exploded and I had to take a picture!!!!

Have a 'bloomin' day!

A Pirate and Princess birthday!

Hello! These are the invitations that I'm making for my children's birthday party! Their birthdays are 2 days apart, the 28th and the 30th, so we are sharing another birthday! I was shopping at Michael's and noticed a whole rack of pirate themed birthday stuff. And then I thought of the pirate stamp that I have from My Favorite Things, and the card started to come together. I had to keep it simple because it's just for a 3 and 5 year old's birthday party! Seriously, people aren't going to keep these!!!!

Anyway, I had purchased the Disney princesses stamp set made by Inkadinkado I think. Not totally sure about that. I bought it at JoAnn's. So, I could incorporate Ariel, my daughter's favorite princess, onto the card.

I'm not sure about the waves though. I might nix that.... What are your thoughts???

Package It!

Hello! Would you like this package? I thought a lot about different things that I could make to "package it" for the MFT Judges Challenge on SCS. It didn't help that I couldn't work on anything this week! My poor little guy is sick w/ strep throat! So, he's been my top priority. Finally tonight I had a chance to get something accomplished, and this is what I came up with.
I tried to make it elegant and useful at the same time! I hope that I achieved that goal!
Have a great day!

Olivia's Flopsey Book

The cover!

This is page 1. I used Punny Farm and Gardener Flopsey.
I wanted Flopsey to go the other way, so I stamped him on
Vellum and then flipped him over and colored him!

This is page 2. This is another one of my favorite pages! I wanted
to use Good Knight, but everything is the same size! So, I bought some
Shrinky Dink paper and made the knights and dragons little so they are
like little toys!
This is page 3. 3, 2, 1; Ready or Not, Here I Come! Flopsey
is playing hide and seek! I paired Flopsey Flowers w/ Let's
Hear It For the Boys. I drew the floor to make it look real.
This is page 4. I love using Going Places! It's so versatile!
I used Gardener Flopsey and instead of carrots, he's carting
suitcases!

This is page 5. I wanted to do a Peter Rabbit type page,
and when I picked up Can Ya Dig It, I knew this would be
the perfect page! The flowers are from Build A Bouquet.
This is page 6. This is my favorite page! I used Gardener
Flopsey and Ben Paper Dolls. The moon gems are stickled.
And I drew the flag and Flopsey's helmet.

This is page 7. Who doesn't like ice cream? This set is Here's the

Scoop w/ Flopsey Flowers.

This is page 8. I was looking at the set It's A Jungle Out There,
and thought about different ways I could use the set. Why not a circus?

This is page 9 and I am using the new Birthday Flopsey!
Isn't he cute??!!! The balloons are from Icing on the Cake (older).

This is the last page in the book! I used Thomas Kincaid
background paper, and the new set Owls and Bluebells by MFT.

This book was made for my daughter, and also for the MFT Idol Judges category contest. The Idols have been making fabulous projects each week, and I wanted to stand out a little among the judges w/ a project of my own! So, here it is! I did pick the worst weekend to work on such a project though! My birthday weekend as well as Mother's Day! Hello! Oh well, I finished it, and I don't want to give it to my daughter!!!! She's 2 1/2, and I know she'll ruin it. Maybe I'll just supervise her looking at it so nothing gets ripped apart!

When making this, I used several cardboard coasters found at my local restaurants as the backing in between the pages. I tried to make Flopsey look the same in each page to continue a theme, with the Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol spirits; however sometimes I just had to use my markers! Two new MFT sets made it into my book too! Good thing I was busy this weekend! Owls and Bluebells (the last page of my book), and Birthday Flopsey (the second to last page of my book).

Happy Reading!

Relax!

Hi all! This card was made for two reasons: 1. Because I needed a Mother's Day card, and 2. for the MFT May Guest Designer One Click Contest! It's going on now! Go to the MFT thread on Splitcoast and scroll down to May Guest Designer and get all the details!
The theme for this was to make a card for a woman and celebrate staying inside. So, what better stamp set to use than MFT's Bunny Slippers! Hello!
For this card, I stamped the girl on Pink Passion paper, and then cut out the robe and slippers. I ran them through the Xyron and then adhered Pixie Pink Fun Flock to make it a fuzzy robe and slippers! I did the same w/ the big slippers on the sentiment panel. I used two circles from Build A Bouquet to "build" my background! And then the background behind the girl is just Swiss Dots embossed. I used my scallop circle and regular circle nesties for the sentiment. The sentiment is actually from a male stamp set, Let's Hear It For the Boys! There's a guy in a recliner watching tv, and there's a few sayings in the set about relaxing and it's your day, so I took those and made my own little sentiment! I used vanilla taffeta ribbon to tie it all together.

My Inspiration!

Hello! This card was made for the MFT Idol Judge's challenge: make a card for an inspirational woman, and use pink and brown. I chose to make a card for my sister. She is 4 years younger than me, and is such a wonderful inspiration, I had to make her a special card to let her know that!
So, this one's for you, Thera! I love you! And so do Jack and Olivia!
Happy Stamping!
Edited to add: This card was also made for this week's Card Patterns sketch challenge!
